Serendip is a dating app that doesn't turn dating into a game. No endless stack of faces — one person, one real conversation.
Most dating apps are built to hold your attention. The more you swipe, the more notifications you get, the better for them. Serendip isn't interested in that.
You're not juggling a dozen conversations. You actually make room for one person.
Photos stay blurred on the match card and clear up once you both say yes. Your first impression is based on who someone is, not how they look.
No like counts, no "who liked you" list, no "12 people viewed your profile today" notifications.
We don't invent reasons to pull you back in. You hear from us when there's a message. That's it.
Matching isn't only about distance — your interests and lifestyle are part of it too.
Your search keeps running after you close the app. We're not trying to increase your screen time.
Four steps. Nothing complicated.
In a dating app, trust comes before features.
You can confirm the profile is really yours with a short video and earn a "verified" badge. The video is deleted afterwards; only an irreversible mathematical summary remains. Verification is optional.
If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them with a single tap. Reports are reviewed and violating accounts are closed.
We don't sell your data or share it with ad networks. There are no ads in the app. You can delete your account at any time and download a copy of your data.
The things people ask.
The app is free. You get 10 searches a week, which is more than enough for most people.
No. You can use every feature without it — you just won't have the "verified" badge.
No. The video is deleted once verification finishes. What remains is a numerical summary of your face — a photo can't be reconstructed from it. Its only job is to detect the same face being used on another account.
Because texting ten people at once means really meeting none of them. One match lets you actually make room for that person.
They're blurred on the match card and clear up once you both say yes and the conversation starts. The point is for your first impression to come from who someone is, not from a photo.
Serendip is for adults aged 18 and over. Date of birth is verified during sign-up.
In the app: My Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent; your conversations, photos and verification record are deleted too.
Android only for now. An iOS version is planned.
